On The Road with Tween Time
The
First Youth Peace Wall of Denver gave young artists the opportunity to create
an important piece of public art. This 30-foot wall mural--located
for a limited time in the parking lot behind the Pavilions at 15th and
Welton Streets-- was designed and painted by the City's youth to become
the First Youth Peace Wall in our nation. A contest was held to invite
all area youth to have their image of peace painted by them and included on the
mural. The Peace Wall was then officially presented as a gift to the City
in May 2005 during the Colorado Arts Festival.
